The Edmonton Radio Control Society (ERCS) was formed in 1959 with the goal of providing safe and enjoyable flying facilities for the sport of flying radio controlled aircraft. Whether you are into nitro, gas, electric, or turbines, you will find pilots that share your interest. The club offers ground school and in-flight training for new pilots at no cost to its members. Our flying field is located just a few minutes east of Edmonton in Strathcona County. See aerial view of the field.

Piper Cub Auction at the January Meeting
The club has been donated a Goldberg Cub which is all built and covered. It needs the windows installed and the cowl painted. It looks very well built and has a 72mhz radio installed. Has a brand new Irvine 40 2 stroke. It will need a Pitts muffler but does come with the stock muffler. This will be sold at the January club meeting by sealed bid. Top bid wins it. The only stipulation is that the gentleman that built it wishes to be there for the first flight! It has a Futaba PCM 72mhz radio with S148 servos installed. It is covered in 21st Century fabric which will need some ironing to tighten it up. If you can find one of these kits, you know what they sell for and this one is almost turnkey. These are a great flying planes. If you cannot make the meeting, then bids will be accepted by Dave C. via email This email address is being protected from spambots. I feel the need, the need for speed!
Alan Wesley has submitted his photos taken during the Tofield Jet Rally which took place back in July 2019. Alan did a great job capturing the people and aircraft at the event and put in a lot of effort to resize and sort them for our website. Thanks Alan! View Photo Gallery
