The Edmonton Radio Control Society (ERCS) was formed in 1959 with the goal of providing safe and enjoyable flying facilities for the sport of flying radio controlled aircraft. Whether you are into nitro, gas, electric, or turbines, you will find pilots that share your interest. The club offers ground school and in-flight training for new pilots at no cost to its members. Our flying field is located just a few minutes east of Edmonton in Strathcona County. See aerial view of the field.

Alan Wesley has submitted his photos taken during the Tofield Jet Rally which took place back in July 2019. Alan did a great job capturing the people and aircraft at the event and put in a lot of effort to resize and sort them for our website. Thanks Alan! View Photo Gallery
ERCS Annual R/C Auction
The annual ERCS R/C auction was again a huge success! Hundreds of R/C related items went up on the auction block throughout the day. Thank you Rick Zaplachinski for organizing the event, club members, family, and friends for helping out, and to all the bidders who attended. Hobby Wholesale once again donated the use of their credit/debit machine, thank you! [See pictures]
Long time ERCS member Bruce Bender passed away on October 16th, 2019. Bruce often frequented the field to either visit with friends or fly his scale and jet aircraft, he volunteered countless hours over the years, and was instrumental in setting up many of our flying fields. Clear skies Bruce, you will be greatly missed.
