The Edmonton Radio Control Society (ERCS) was formed in 1959 with the goal of providing safe and enjoyable flying facilities for the sport of flying radio controlled aircraft. Whether you are into nitro, gas, electric, or turbines, you will find pilots that share your interest. The club offers ground school and in-flight training for new pilots at no cost to its members. Our flying field is located just a few minutes east of Edmonton in Strathcona County. See aerial view of the field.

2018 R/C Auction
Baturyn Community Hall was very busy during the annual ERCS R/C auction held on October 27th, 2018. There were a large number of items sold and a lot of people in attendance; thank you to everyone who attended! An event like this takes a lot of effort to organize and run. Next time you see Rick Z, the guys at the auction block or check in/out table, the guys who tirelessly ran items up to the auction block or the back room, Brad L. for spending a lot of late evenings developing the auction software, the ladies selling concession items, Hobby Wholesale for letting us use their debit/credit machine, or anyone else who set up or tear down the equipment, give them a nice thank you!
Ed Mason is Back!
Ed Mason has been unable to take pictures at our field for many months but he's now well enough to come visit us at Bremner field again. He submitted a few pictures taken a few days ago; check them out in the photo gallery. Welcome back Ed!
Membership and Auction forms now available
The 2019 ERCS Membership Form and ERCS R/C Auction Consignment forms are now available.
Combat Event Cancelled
Unfortunately due to the snow and poor weather forecast, the combat event scheduled for September 22nd has been cancelled. Thanks Dave Nordlund for the work you put into preparing for the event.
The Old Forum Is Being Retired
It's time to say good bye to our old forum and hello to the new forum! All the photos from our old forum have been added to our website Photo Gallery. Unfortunately it's too much of an effort to save the old forum messages so they will be lost.
Next weekend on September 23rd, the old forum will be turned off for good. If there is anything you want to save, now is the time!
Please use the new forum from now on.
2018 Geocaching Outreach
We had a great turnout of 30 Geocachers during our Geocaching Outreach event. Only 4 members were there. Iain, Danny, Dave Nordlund and I provided the group with Flight, Food, and info!! The writeups on the Geocache page were all very positive. It was a great time even with the cold windy weather!!
