The Edmonton Radio Control Society (ERCS) was formed in 1959 with the goal of providing safe and enjoyable flying facilities for the sport of flying radio controlled aircraft. Whether you are into nitro, gas, electric, or turbines, you will find pilots that share your interest. The club offers ground school and in-flight training for new pilots at no cost to its members. Our flying field is located just a few minutes east of Edmonton in Strathcona County. See aerial view of the field.

Cancelled Events
Due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in the Edmonton area as well as the current restrictions on guest pilots at our field we have decided to cancel the fall Electric Fun Fly and Combat events this year. The good news is that this will give you more time to purchase an electric Bloody Wonder combat plane kit from Muryl or Dave C. They're inexpensive and you could use them at the next combat contest or electric fun fly when things get back to normal :)
Don McGowan
Don McGowan, a former MAAC zone director for Alberta, passed away 26 July 2020. There was a Celebration of Life for Don on Aug. 6th, 2020 in Stony Plain.
Field Status
Members, monitor your email for the latest field status updates. With the field opening and closing so much lately due to the flooding issue that's the best way to know whether the field is open or not.
